Seisō

Seiso is a serial and innovative development of bowls, inspired by the organic shape of pears and based on the material exploration

of paper. The aim was to get to the core of the shape properties in such a way that individual elements are reinterpreted in a modified

way and transferred to an existing form.

Simultaneously, the production of Japanese tea bowls (Urushi) played an important role - an elaborate procedure of laminating

and grinding to achieve stability and a waterproof surfaces. This technique was adapted in a modified form. Multiple layers of

different paper qualities were laminated onto an already existing form and modelled through different grinding techniques.
